A rustic farm on the outskirts of Strongsville, specializing in homegrown produce, honey and pasture-raised eggs.
Apples you buy in the grocery store can be up to a year old—or even more using cold storage with low levels of oxygen. To keep the apples looking fresh, stores will wax all of their apples to keep them looking shiny and appealing. In storage, apples and other fruits over time will lose much nutritious dietary fiber. Also, antioxidant activity in apples decreases majorly and eventually stops after three months of cold storage. An apple stored for a year will have almost no antioxidants whatsoever.
Bringing ethically produced food to your table starts with allowing our hens on grass year-round, Our hens enjoy over 5 acres of pasture and orchard with plenty of fresh air and sunshine. This allows them to forage feasting on a natural buffet of grasses daily.
With the rise of diabetes, obesity, heart disease, and other medical problems due in a large part from processed and refined foods such as white sugar, many people began looking to sugar free “alternatives” to get their sweets without the health problems.
Unfortunately, each of these sugar “alternatives” is also processed and some posed even greater health risks to the consumers, including multiple forms of cancer.
Honey, however, was found to be a natural sweetener. It gave a richer flavor than processed sugar and avoided additives and artificial sweeteners.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
